Cerebral Perfusion Pressure Calculator

Calculates CPP from MAP and ICP. When MAP is not directly entered, the MAP estimate is shown in a separate support box.

Inputs

Color mode links each input to the matching equation term and solving arithmetic.

Normal/reference: CPP 70–80 mmHg. Normal ICP is about 8–12 mmHg; clinical ICP upper limit is often treated as up to 20 mmHg.

Clinical Significance

CPP from MAP and ICP. When MAP is not directly entered, the MAP estimate is shown in a separate support box.

This calculator expands that idea by identifying the relevant measured values, substituting the selected inputs, and carrying the arithmetic through in the solving steps.

Low CPP suggests inadequate cerebral perfusion. MAP may be obtained directly from an arterial line or estimated from systolic and diastolic pressure.

The indirect MAP equation loses accuracy at very high heart rates or unusual arterial waveforms. CPP goals are clinical decisions, not calculator outputs.
