Clinical Significance

Gas volume correction applies the combined gas law to adjust gas volume for pressure and temperature. The 273 constant converts Celsius to Kelvin, and water-vapor pressure is subtracted when the gas is saturated rather than dry.

Used when precise gas volume correction is required rather than table-factor approximation.

Temperatures are converted to kelvins internally. Verify PH₂O values for the measurement temperature.
