Mixed Venous Oxygen Content Calculator

Calculates CvO₂ from hemoglobin, mixed venous saturation, and mixed venous PO₂.

Inputs

Color mode links each input to the matching equation term and solving arithmetic.

Normal/reference: 12–15 vol%.

Clinical Significance

Mixed venous oxygen content estimates oxygen returning to the right heart. The 1.34 constant represents hemoglobin-bound oxygen capacity, and 0.003 accounts for dissolved oxygen.

Reflects oxygen content returning to the right heart and is used in Fick cardiac output, shunt, and extraction calculations.

Calculator output should be interpreted with the patient’s condition, measurement quality, and local clinical policy.
