Clinical Significance

This calculator estimates the air entrained with one part oxygen and the total flow produced by an air-entrainment device.

It expands that idea by first finding the air portion of the O₂:air ratio, then using that ratio with the oxygen flow setting to determine total delivered flow.

Used to estimate whether an air-entrainment system can meet total flow demand.

Assumes ideal entrainment and device performance.
